for the treatment of bellyache、carbuncle and rheunatism.
Recent studies had found that the extracts from Coriaria genus
were exhibited significant anti-tumor and antipsychotic
activity. The methanolic extract of roots and the boiling water
extract of leaves were partitioned and then separated by
chromatography. Five different solid components were isolated.
Based on physical ,chemical,spectral of the corresponding
compound.Those components were identified as phytosterol、
ellagic 3,3'-dimethyl ether、D:C friedoolean-8-en-3-ol-28-oic
acid、coriamyrtin、β-tutin. One of them, D:C friedoolean-8-
en-3-ol-28-oic acid was founded from the Coriaria genus for the
first time. The results of pharmacological experiment showed
that the n-hexane、chloroform、ethyl acetate、 n-butanol
fractions from the root of Coriaria intermedia had obvious
inhibition of the tumor cell,P-388.
