Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 81 === Traditionally , the calculation and prediction of jet impin- gement load during a high - energy line break is one of very important tasks for the design and safety analysis of a nuclear power plant . This thesis is aimed to compute the jet geometry , jet force and impingement load on targets during a postulated high energy line break (HELB) accident. The jet characteristics ( such as jet pressure and velocity distribution over the flow field ) will also be investigated. One of the very popular computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Code-PHOENICS will be utilized in this study .
