the use of information technology to support face-to-face group
meetings. Such Electronic Meeting Systems provide participants
anonymous and equal opportunities to share their ideas and make
fair decisions. The new form of meeting environment,Electronic
Meeting Systems, has emerged which improves group meetings more
effective, efficient, and satisfactory. In the past, most of
researches in Electronic Meeting Systems are focused on
assisting face-to-face group meetings with text information.
Recently, the developments of Viedo Conference emphasize to use
real-time functions in order to transmit viedo images
immediately. The purpose of this article is to provide a client/
server architectonic framework for assisting same-time/
different-place group meetings by means of computers and
electronic communication equipments. We also propose an open
model of meeting coordination commands for various machines or
heterogeneous network. In particular, during the meeting the
system provides a variety of independent and flexible meeting
tools to support the diverse demands.
