A modified transient test method is employed to determine the heat transfer coefficient for various combinations of dimensionless oscillation frequency Sc, dimensionless oscillation amplitude (A/D), and Reynolds number. The ranges of these parameters considered in this study are : 0.ltorsim.Sc.ltorsim.0.3 ,0.ltorsim.A/D.ltorsim.0.628 , and 0.ltorsim.Re.ltorsim.4000. Results show that the heat transfer coefficient can be significantly influenced by the oscillation of cylinder.
