However, owing to the facts that fluidized bed furnace enormously consumes the fuel gas and performs unstable atmosphere compositions in the bed on account of direct boosting of fuel gas and air from the bottom of the bed, consequently, it narrows the effective treating zone of the bed when it is applied for carburizing or bright heat treatment. This resarch is to develop a gas generator-buit-in fluidized bed furance which is composed of a catalytic zone in the lower part of the furance, with well- controlled rates, the fuel gas and air are endothermically reacted and guided upward into the bed, so as to acquire a stable endothermic atmosphere without necsssity of extra- invested generator which is conventionally applied in the carburizing or bright heat treating operations.
