Up to now, the research in Taiwanese his- tory and culture in Japanese-ruling period mostly emphasized the description of history facts or value-judgement.In politics ,and so less involved the specific concept system formed by the intellectuals when they were absorbing the contemporary world trend of thought, resisting the unfair ruling of conlonigers, and reflecting upon the unreasonable factors of the traditional Taiwanese culture. I think that if we based on the result of recent research in Taiwanese literary and culture, and study further the inner spirit structure of the Taiwanese intellec- tuals, then their role as the actual leaders constructor, besides the role as the actual leaders of social movement, will be more vivid and profound. And the analysis about the multiple roles of Taiwanese intellectuals will reveal in several aspects the confrontation between social culture and the colonigers in Japanese-ruling Taiwan. Besides, if we do not want to make sim- plified valuejudgement about Taiwanese history and culture in the Japanese-ruling period, then such analysis and revelation will be important and indispensible. And by such way of trial, I hope I can offer another different thinking approach to the reserch of Taiwanese literary and culture. Shih Shu Nu 施淑女 1993 學位論文 ; thesis 312 zh-TW
