digital image processing system to serve as a 3-D ment
system. The difference of height between any point on the
surface and a specific point can be evaluated by this , and the
surface contour can be regenerated in accordance. The Moire
fringe, a result of interference between one set of parallel
lines and another set deformed with the specimen, is
genereally used to measure inplane displacement. On the hand,
Shadow-moire employs only one set of parallel These
lines will make interference with their shadow by inclined
coherent light. Contour fringes were observed the direction
normally to the plane including the parallel The theory of
Moire interference and Shadow-moire patterns , the experimental
operation and accuracy of Shadow-moire, lysis of the
patterns with digital image processing and reproduction of
the surface contour were proposed study.
