The first method deals with decoupled overlapping decomposition for the system coefficient to improve the efficacy of decentralized control. The second method concerns with mode separation on the expanded closed-loop system. Both local state feedback and feedforward compensation are exercised for the retained dominant modes.The inclusion of feedforward compensation to reduce the disturbance interaction from other subsystems is proved to be an effective approach. The proposed methods are applied to the decentralized control Simulation results show that the proposed methods indeed improved the performance of the system as compared to those of reference [6].
