Curve and surface fitting are important in computer - aided design, graphics, pattern recognition, and picture processing. By modifying the system's boundary conditions, we present new and fast vectorized algorithms for B - spline curve and surface fitting, respectively. We also demonstrate the good performance of our algorithms on the CRAY X - MP supercomputer.
