Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 81 === A thermal model in wet grinding process is presented. The thermal effect of shear zone is taken into account. By taking all the parmaters needed in the model from the experimental result, the temperature of the workpiece surface in the grinding zone can be predicted. Experiments show that the flow rate of coolant under general grinding condition is sufficient to cover the coolant thermal boundary layer in the grinding zone. The predicted workpiece surface temperature has been compared to experimental data on some grinding conditions. A good agreement is obtained expcept for creep feed grinding process when water-based coolant is used. The difference between the theoretical values and experimental results are attributed to constant thermal properties , and negligence of transverse conduction in the development of thermal model.
