Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 建築與城鄉研究所 === 81 === For the spatial planning professionals, especially geoscien- -tists, it is very often that they have to deal with tremendous and complicat- -ed three-dimensional geographical information when performing their tasks in spatial planning. However, the representation of three dimensional objects and their data orga- -nization can not effectively proce- -ssed by traditional Geogr- -aphical Information Systems (GIS) which are based on two dimen- -sional data model. How to develop a three dimensional geograph- -ical data model in order to effectively support spatial data manipulation and analysis is thus an important task to a spatial vector-based geographical data model that can represented three dimensional topological relationships in order to conquer the difficulty of representing physical three-dimensional objects by two dimensional data models, and to connect the shortcoming of grid- based three dimensional data model in representing the spa- -tial relationships among objects. In this research, in additon to the topology of two dimensi- -onal geographical data model and the recording method of spatial relationships of objects and coordinates, TIN models are reviewed and applied. Based on the reviewed methods , a vector- -based three dimensional data model is developed. It is hoped that the proposed three dimensional data models should be able to effectively represent three dimensional objects and their topology, so that spatial data can be efficiently retrived and analyzed. Pseudo-code of the proposed data model is also provided in this paper.
