Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 生化學研究所 === 81 === Wistar rats, male weighed average 100gm, were injected with a single dose(100mg/kg) of humic acid intraperitoneally. "Black tails" were noted ten days later. In the severly affected regi- ons observed grossly, thrombosis with mild to moderate 、acute 、 necrotizing vasculitis was seen in most of the blood vessels located in the dermis , subcutis fat and muscle. The blood vessels were markedly dilated. Frequently , colonies of a short rod bacterinm of varying sizes were observed in the affected blood vessels. There was mild to moderate edema and minimal accumulation of mast cells and macrophages in the dermis. Acute fat necrosis with fibrin deposition was also seen in the subcu- tis fat. Based on the pathological findings , it is speculated that the"black tails"seen in the humic acid- treated Wistar rats are probably initiated by acute , necrotizing vasculitis with subsequent bacterial infection and gangrenous inflammation.
