碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 資訊科學學系 === 81 === Throughout 1990, network management continued to be one of the principal points of focus for many developers, vendors, and users, and looks set to remain so for several years to come. Within network management, much attention have being paid to OSI approach. Here we will describe the OSI definition about network management, but we will not design the network management system via the OSI approach. Today, the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is deployed everywhere. The SNMP is suitable to construct a practical, extensible, and flexible network management system. In this thesis, we design and implement a network management system based on SNMP.
