This paper briefly reviews the literature on on-line scheduling algorithms for FMS, by which some other algorithms are developed. There are eleven scheduling algorithms in all tested under a varity of experimental conditions. Results show the part-mix have large impact on the mean flowtime performance of the algorithms, and the makespan performance are almost the same among most of the algorithms except one.
