The processor architecture is flexible and modular tommodate different applications . It contains parallelomputational units and a serial port so that it can bexpanded to a larger system by connecting the serial portsf the chip sets together . An experimental chip containing the processor with fourwo-operand inputs and its subcircuits has been designed andabricated in 0.8 um CMOS double-poly double-metal n-wellechnology . The SPICE DC and transient analysis results asell as the experimental results have been demonstrated toerify the function and the performance of the designedircuits and the processor .
