Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 運動科學研究所 === 81 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Tai Chi Chaun training on Physiological response of Psychological Stress, Perception of Stress and Type A Behavior Pattern. Twenty-four type A subjects from Chang Cung Institute of Nursing College were randomly assigned to experimental group (n=12) and control group (n=12). The experimental group participated in the Yang Tai Chi Chaun training for twelve weeks. The training courses were three times a week, including the first section of Yang Tai Chi Chaun and the instruction of Tai Chi Chaun principles. The control group was required not to change their habits of exercise during the twelve weeks. Both groups were tested on the dependent variables before and after the training. Data wre collected from "State-Trait Anger Scale","State- Trait Anxiety Inventory","Type A Behavior Pattern Scale for Chinses People" and the response of heart rate, blood pressure, and skin temperature during mirror trace task. All data were analyzed by mixed factor two-way ANOVA. After training for 12 weeks, the results showed: On DBP difference (stress-rest)of experimental group, the post-test was lower than the pretest. On skin temperture difference, the post-test of experimental group was smaller than its pretest as well as the post-test of control group. On SBP and HR, there was no significant interaction. On the perception of stress, the trait anger scale showed significant interation, while there was no significant interation on trait anxiety. On the type A behavior only the "aggression and hostility" in the post-test of experimental group was lower than its pretest as well as the post-test of the control group.
