Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃研究所 === 81 === Development control of Urban Industrial District in Taiwan exists many problems, such as abandoned lands and buildings, pollution to surranding areas , lacks of public facilities , etc. Those problems imply that it exists an inadequacy in Taiwan''s development control for urban industrial district. The purpose of the study is to search for a better way in dealing with development control for urban industrial district. Based on a assumed goal-achievement system , the study includes investigation and evaluation . On the one hand , development control system in U.S. and U.K. are investigated , and accordingly discusses the possible weaknesses of development control for urban industrial district in Taiwan. This study also investigates the issues existing in urban industrial district in Taiwan. On the other hand, this study use the AHP to evaluate which kind of development control systems is better for development control of urban industrial district. The results are as follows: The investigation of the study shows that city governments in Taiwan have insufficient fund to provide public facilities for industrial district and there is no incentive tools to attract industries move into industrial district. The available tools development control for urban industrial district is too insufficient for city goverment to manage the growing complicated issues. Finally ,the evaluation result of the AHP shows that development permission without zoing will be a better way to deal with development control of urban industrial district.
