planner''s role and position in taiwan area , most educators
from the schools are still considerig that city planner is the
staffs of city decision-maker (ex. mayor). This person should
be a neutral value advisor for decision-maker , and his
personal value should not influence the value of professional
job. In fact , the planner can not avoid to put his/her value
judgement into his/her job , when planner is working on
problems collecting , the method of answer selecting , and
the determination of effective jodgement in city planning.
Planner''s value viewpoint and his attitude in city planning
have deeply influenced planner''s job. To study planner''s
attitude and realize planner''s opinion in various city
planning themes are the way to grasp the existing city
planning pulse and the future tendency of city planning in
Taiwan area. The difference viewpoint among private company''s
planners , government city planning officers , and the commis-
sioners of city planning dteliberative commission for various
city planning themes are reflecting the conflict among the
role of city planners at present. Through this study may help
realizing more deeply the current city planning problems''
sources in Taiwan area.
