China is a greac nation with abundant resources. Due to the difference between natural environaent, society and culture, the type or housing cluster is diiFerent in each area. Many water towns are founded because of the crosslinking network of Yantzu River basin and Tai-Hou Valley creating various island. Jou-Juang Town in Kuen-shan county is one of the water town and also a coumercial center located between many intersections
Due to special geographical position, this paper will discuss the space organization of Jou-Juang Town by field research. The study focus on the relationship of the characteristics and elements of space organization.
The abstract of this research include:
Chapter 1. Explicate the active, goals, the scopes and the methods of research and study schedule.
Chapter 2. Discuss the development of Jou-Juang Town froa the view points of natural environment, society and culture. Also this chapter discuss the history of development and ways of town cinservation.
Chapter 3. To analyze the relationship between the elements of space organization by using the theories of point line and plane.
Chapter 4. Bases on the relationship between the elemennts of space organiztion in reseaching for the character of place its and framwork
Chapter 5. Concludes this paper and gives the summary of this research. It also suggests ways of future develpment for Jou-Juang Town.
