| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 生物學系 === 70 === Fourteen samples were collected from various sites under forest unrsery and cultivated soils in this country.
Seventeen strains of cellular slime molds were encoun-tered. They are identified as 2 genera and 5 species, namely: Dictyostelium mucoroides Brefeld, Dictyostelium giganteum Singh, Dictyostelium sphaerocephalum (Oud.) Sacc. and March, Polysphondylium violaceum Brefeld, Polysphondylium pallidum Olive. All of these species are illustrated and described according to their morphological characteristeics, and are reported as new to Taiwan. By using the compatibility tests of D. giganteum, macrocysts were obtained from strains: 014×010, 014×016, 014×017 and 016×017 ,and shown the species to be heterothallic. All strains and their transfers are deposited in the Mycology Laboratory, Institute of Biological Sciences, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China.
