碩士 === 淡江大學 === 歐洲研究所 === 69 === 　　Since 1918 Czechoslovakia was founded, its continuous history was full of tragedies. At first, the Nazi Germany invaded n 1939 and occupied her lands till the end of world war Ⅱ. Then Czechoslovakia was revovered in May, 1945 and revived its previous democracy. Very unfortunately, three years later, Czechoslovak Communist party (KSC) succeeded in seizing the power through the coup dietad in the February of 1948. Czechoslavakia, from then on, was transformed into the stalinist model, and meanwhile bacame one of the satellites of the soviet Union. Under the rule of KSC, finally there took place the Czechoslovak reform movement between January and August in 1968. The period was regarded as "The prague's Spring" which was destroyed by the invasion of the Soviet Union. 　　This study is divided into four parts to conduct a further analysis on tis development. part one illustrates the background of the foundation of Czechoslovakia. Part two is devoted to the description of the establishment of KSC and how they seized the power. Part three portrays the rule of KSC. Final part deonstrates the reform movement in prague's Spring and the invasion of the soviet Union.
