| Summary: | 碩士 === 中央警察大學 === 警政研究所 === 62 === It has been proved and tested from the experiments which I have accomplished during the past half year that the inhalation of the volatile vapors of the adhesives available for commercial preparations will result in the following consequences:
A) damages of the central nervous system, i.e., the decrease of response ability against stimulation, the behavior depression in palpebral size, testis retraction and pain response, the increase of muscle relazation such as ataxia, and the incoordination of autonomics.
B) the serious deteriorations of a creature's organs; the short period habitual inhalation of the adhesives will render the heart, liver, kidneys and lungs to have a general blood clot phenomena and a slight degene-ration of cell bodies of the aforementioned organs, while chronic addiction will lead to a more serious degeneration and to the arising of local symptoms of diseases such as liver dropsy, hepatitis, pneumonia and bronchitis due to the harmful stimulation of the vapors.
Besides, by resorting to the habitual inhalation of the volatile Vapors of adhesives, a person is apt to indulge in illusion, to have weak response, to become inactive and indolent, lack concentration and furthermore, lose his consciousness, meanwhile, the organs especially the heart, liver, lungs and kidneys are fatally injured.
Both the United States of America and Japan have paid attention to this social problem, they have tried their best to halt the corrupt practice. Our society is somewhat sensitive in affecting prevalent foreign customs and we are now being confronted with this problem. Therefore it is necessary for us to keep alert to it and to find some proper countermeasures in advance to prevent its increase.
