碩士 === 文化大學 === 實業計劃研究所 === 57 === The Pharmacognostical Researches on the Phizophores or Rhizomes of Genus Dioscorea in Taiwan had been accomplished by Dr. Na-Chi in 1965 and the 1st supplement was completed by Cheng Ping-Chuan M.S. in 1967. There are 4 parts of studies on Dioscorea in this supplement which was collected, classified and cultivated by authors. Part one consists of some forma of Dioscorea alata. Their local name are Delederep, Maltobo and Dalitcotco. Part two consists of D. alata var, purpurea (Poxb.) M. Pouch, Tuba and Makalajik, The latter two belong to D. alata recognized by authors. Part three deals with difference between D. formosana and D. matsudai. Part four consists of D. bulbifera f. domestica and its Pen-tsa'o (本草) studies. In order to determine the origins these Rhizophores or Rhizomes were studied by anatomical inspected. They are: 1.Delederep 2.Maltobo 3.Dalitcotco 4.Tuba 5.Makalajik 6.Dioscorea formosana R.Kunth 7.D. bulbifera f. domestica Makino et Nemoto
