The study of relative O(1S) emission intensities following the photodissociation of CO2 between 1050A and 1200A. Most of the structure in the absorption of CO2 were clearly followed by the O(1S) intensities in the range 1090A-1200A, whereas the structure was not followed below 1089A. Quantum yield of O(1S) were highest in the range 1120A-1135A and dropped on both sides of this range. The stimulation of O(1S) emission by collision with added rare gases. The emission intensities has been found to be proportional to the pressure of the added gases, but inversely proportional to the pressure of the CO2 gases.
