Description
Summary:A composition for orchestra of approximately seven minutes duration, The Jebediah Jones Mystery Montrose Tour, 1999 consists of five main sections flanked by an introduction and a conclusion. Two melodies are presented in different contexts throughout the piece and are repeatedly punctuated by a short, falling, chromatic theme. The piece is a reflection of the composer's disposition at the time of writing, having been recruited by Rice University from an isolated Australian town and brought to the middle of America's fourth largest city. Influences include Samuel Barber, Edward Applebaum and Radiohead.
