With the elderly population expected to double by 2050 and CSULB being the third largest employer in Long Beach, it is likely that caregiving will impact the productivity of its workforce. Additionally, the struggle to balance work and eldercare responsibilities will impact the health of the CSULB workforce. </p><p> Results indicate there is not currently a need for adult day care services on campus. However, there is a need for eldercare resources, referrals and access to professional gerontology consultations. Additionally, there is interest in eldercare resources such as seminars on veterans&rsquo; services, assisted living, Medicare, Medi-Cal, reverse mortgage, legal advice, financial advice, advanced directives, power of attorney, long-distance caregiving, supports for the sandwich generation and telecommuting options.</p> California State University, Long Beach 2015-09-12 00:00:00.0 thesis http://pqdtopen.proquest.com/#viewpdf?dispub=1595782 EN
