Summary: | <p> The purpose of this curriculum is to help adolescent females navigate the stress they experience during this developmental stage in a safe and effective way. The curriculum aims to increase adolescent females' self-esteem, increase their knowledge of effective communication strategies, and increase their ability to identify support systems in life. The curriculum includes eight 1 hour sessions designed to be delivered in a group setting. The curriculum was designed based on a review of the literature and research concerning adolescence, adolescent learning theories, interventions, relational aggression, conflict management, compassion and empathy, healthy relationships, self-esteem, and support systems. Curriculum limitations, implications for social work practice, and recommendations for future curriculums are also discussed. </p>
