Description
Summary:
The purpose of this grant was to fund a series of psychoeducational workshops for parents of Latino ethnicity at high risk for involvement with Child Protective Services. This service would be offered through a partnership with SPIRITT Family Services in Santa Fe Springs, California. SPIRITT Family Services is an agency serving its community to strengthen the family unit and the individual through a variety of prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and recovery programs. After an intense research for funding sources the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation, whose purpose parallels that of SPIRITT Family Services, was selected. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not required for successful completion of this thesis project.
