Defining a low-cost additive manufacturing process that can fabricate high-quality MMC parts will combine the benefit of additive manufacturing and MMC together, which is highly desirable in today&rsquo;s manufacturing.</p><p> This research introduces a novel method to fabricate MMC by introduction of uniformly distributed and dispersed ultra-fine ceramic particles within a metal substrate to form metal-ceramic composite during bulk sintering and to further develop three dimensional printing for fabrication of MMC structures reinforced by ceramic particles.
