The goal of this parent-family retreat is to reduce perceived parental stress levels, which will benefit the well-being of all members within a family unit and improve parent self-efficacy. An extensive literature review was performed to investigate the best way to provide parents with a deeper understanding of co-occurring disorders and the importance of taking a holistic approach to supporting their child and/or children. Additionally, foundations were researched for possible funding opportunities and the W.M. Keck Foundation was selected as the best potential funding source. A grant proposal narrative was then written for REACH, a non-profit in Santa Fe Springs, California.
