Through awareness in the present moment, self-observation in a non-judgmental manner, attention to detail and senses, mindfulness is an important tool that may lead to enhancement in music skills and provides more effective practice sessions, performances and faster growth for young and professional musicians. The practices of mindfulness meditation can be utilized into most aspects of music making as well as music appreciation. Awareness may create better stage presence, enhanced technique, focus, sensitivity and response to music, self-confidence and creativity on stage.
