Leadership drives practices, and by applying social justice theory to their roles, interpreters may be able to develop the necessary transformational leadership skills to effectively negotiate practices within a new Third Space where involved participants may better understand each other despite disparate languages and cultures. Possession of transformational leadership traits leads interpreters to redirect their course in the Third Space, permitting Deaf members to guide professionals’ roles, thus promoting social justice. 2012 English text University of Cincinnati / OhioLINK http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=ucin1354296564 http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=ucin1354296564 unrestricted This thesis or dissertation is protected by copyright: all rights reserved.
