This technique is rather attractive in the portable communication systems, such as cell phones, GPS and etc.</p><p>In this thesis, the active antenna oscillator is chosen as the research topic for an investigation of the theory of active antenna. A series of active antenna chipsets are designed, fabricated and tested. Thereafter, the active antenna array is made of units by using the quasi-optical power combining techniques and the significant improvement of performances is achieved.
