It begins with an outline of the cultural and artistic climate of the early twentieth century in Paris, France, when the poems, woodcuts and music were conceived. Next, the study includes a brief biography of the poet, the visual artist, and the composer of the work, followed by an overview of their individual approaches to Le Bestiaire specifically.
