As a result discussion surrounding response-to-intervention (RTI) has increased substantially. These developments have direct implications for the profession of school psychology and its training programs. This study examined outcomes from an initial cohort of school psychology interns implementing response-to-intervention model. Outcomes were reported in terms of procedural adherence, the degree to which the response-to-intervention lead to improvements in student outcomes, and social validity of the use of this model. The results indicated an overall low procedural adherence to the model which restricted discussion with regards to both student outcomes and social validity.
