In Study 1, eight potential aspects based on constructs related to evaluative functions and motives of NE were investigated. In Study 2, more reliable scales relating to two key aspects of evaluation were developed. In Study 3, these two aspects of NE were compared to other individual differences to identify their relationships. Finally, in Study 4, the two new dimensions were examined for predictive validity.
