The theme of the recital will be an exploration of mother-daughter relationships. Through carefully selected monologues, poems, quotes and songs I hope to illustrate different viewpoints and various stages of these relationships. For example the relationship between a young mother and a young daughter, or a daughter dealing with her mother's death. I will also explore some of the psychological conditions that can be attributed to the relationship of a mother to her daughter such as alcoholism, intro- or extroversion, and emotional facility in interpersonal relationships.</p><p>The pieces chosen for this project will also attempt to show a variety of technical acting skills. The age range for the characters chosen will be from eight years old to eighty years old. They will also be of various cultural backgrounds which will require the use of different dialects.</p><p>Some basic needs for this recital will be music and general lighting. I have spoken with Gary Grundei and he has agreed to be my accompanist. The necessary props will include a large stuffed chair and an oval rug.</p><p>This recital is a culmination of two and a half years of discovering my range as an actress utilizing several different techniques.
