An experiment is conducted in which university students (N=125) read one of four stories from the Wall Street Journal and then answer questions about their experience. Results show that participants exposed to interactive stories were more likely to say they learned something new about business, finance, or economics from the story; were more likely to say they would read financial news again in the future; were more likely to say they enjoyed the format of the content; and were more likely to have deeper engagement levels with the content.
