A framework that integrates simulation model building, running, and analyzing from given input data is expected to be extremely beneficial. This research improves Integrated Decision Support Framework (IDSF I) by redesigning the system structure to improve efficiency, reprogramming under Objects Oriented Modeling to increase flexibility of the framework for future expansion and further experimentation. A FMS is designed to carry the experimentation. The running performance of IDSF is examined, along with further exploration of the effects of various system parameters in terms of system performance. Parts similarity measure is also introduced into the system as criterion for dispatching policies and its performance is compared to classical policies. Procedure is applied on WIP in front of each machine, such that processing order of parts is recalculated repeatedly such that sequence of parts corresponds to most or least similar parts.
