Data from 346 Miami University students was collected to determine the effect of reading the manual on each theoretical construct. A 2 X 2 (Gender X Time) mixed-model MANOVA revealed a significant effect of the manual on all six constructs. This indicated that the manual was effective in increasing constructs relating to exercise behavior, thus serving as an effective resource for promoting exercise participation amongst college students. Limitations of the study and future directions are also discussed. 2011-12-14 English text Miami University / OhioLINK http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=miami1323745164 http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=miami1323745164 unrestricted This thesis or dissertation is protected by copyright: all rights reserved.
