Through research on the issues and criticisms of Expositions, it is determined that the ongoing occurrence of these mega-events is reliant on their success. Multiple attempts have been made at redefining Expositions to incorporate sustainability and see their continuity into the future. Despite these attempts, Expositions continue to lack a unified purpose in the 21st century.
