The generalized Catalan numbers count the number of ways to dissect a polygon with n sides into k polygons with p sides. We define two dissections to be distinct if there is not a group action that can act on one dissection and transform it into the other dissection. We will use the Cauchy-Frobenius method to count the total number of distinct dissections of a regular n-gon.
