Inhibition of Escherichia coli trimethylamine-N-oxide reductase by food preservatives
Trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMA-0) reductase activity of resting cells of Escherichia coli was inhibited by tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate (Na₄EDTA), benzoic acid (BA), and methylparaben (MP).
