Summary: | An interview with Harvey F. Sanford (1926-) and Willis D. Saunders, Jr. (1927-), residents of Lower Roxbury and Tuskegee Airmen. Sanford continued as an airplane inspector at Hanscom Field and then Logan Airport, retiring in 1980. Saunders joined the police force. Sanford and Saunders talk about the discrimination they faced seeking higher education and gainful employment in Boston and the military service, as well as the opportunities they found. Sanford and Saunders also reminisce about recreation and entertainment they enjoyed in their youth.
