Summary: | This research explored the leadership practices within the context of Distributed Leadership (DL) amidst the global pandemic. It also investigated the evolution of leadership practices before, during, and after the global pandemic. The case study research was conducted in an international school in South East Asia, in which six leaders participated in the semi-structured interviews. Based on the interviews, three significant themes emerged consisting of synchronous practice,
asynchronous practice, and a combination of synchronous and asynchronous practices. Besides, the research also indicated the evolution of the leadership practices in the school, such as setting directions, developing people, and operational activities. Some suggestions were derived based on the research, including proposing DL as an alternative in assisting schools during the crisis. Next, the study had also suggested some leadership practices which could be adopted by leaders during
the global pandemic. Lastly, it was necessary to highlight in the collaboration with all stakeholders to assist the school in overcoming challenges during the crisis.
