Summary: | This study explores the elements that contribute to a successful work experience for employees who are blind or visually impaired from the employer's perspective. Twenty-two employers from eleven states around the United States, in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, who employed or supervised at least one employee who is visually impaired, were interviewed about the factors that contribute to success in their workplace. Participants were recruited through the American Foundation for the Blind by asking employee mentors who are visually impaired to enlist their employers. |
