Summary: | The principal aim of this research was to discover whether there was a relationship between the willingness of Massachusetts Council on Aging directors to schedule HIV/AIDS education programs and their perceptions of older adults. Literature in the study of ageism has as its central thrust the idea that ageist attitudes, however developed or focused, have direct behavioral consequences. The research undertaken indicates that in regard to HIV/AIDS education the behavioral effect of ageism appears to be less general. |
