Summary:Today as many as 1.5 million American children, most of them school-aged, are believed to have some form of autism, with this number swelling daily. There is no known cure for autism. Innovative nontraditional curricular approaches like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) have been identified as the most effective evidence-based interventions for students with autism. Despite the rising number of children with ASD, there is a lack of effective ABA-based ASD programs in public education.
