Description
Summary:The purpose of the study was to test the perception of specified disciplines within the "medical staff" at St. Boniface General Hospital of the hospital's Social Service Department; and compare this perception to the Department's own definition of its role. The group tested the total defined population at the hospital by means of a mailed, self-administered questionnaire. The group found that perception of the role of the Social Service Department varied according to the discipline (i.e. doctors or nurses) to which the respondent belonged. They also found that this perception varied by certain categories within the specified disciplines.
