The design and construction of the magnet current regulator are considered in detail. A magnetic field homogeneous to one part in ten thousand and regulated to one part in fifty thousand has been attained. Magnetic resonance has been found in scandium45 . The frequency of resonance has been compared with that of the proton in the same magnetic field. The magnetic moment of Sc.45 has thence been calculated as 4.7555 +/- 0.001, including the effect of a small correction for atomic diamagnetism.McGill UniversityFoster, J.
